Choir Rocks! is an exciting new choral series from Faber Music providing fantastic arrangements of contemporary classics. Under the guidance of general editor Ben Parry, all the arrangements have been flexibly written for soprano, alto and optional men, with piano accompaniment.Valerie was written by the indie rock band The Zutons, and first appeared on their second album, Tired of Hanging Around. However it was not until the cover by Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson, from Ronson´s album Version, that the song truly became a hit.The single peaked at Number 2 on the UK Singles Chart in 2008.
